My name is Johnnie Mac and I have successfully busked my way around the world since 1989.
My rebellious approach to busking has allowed me to achieve great results in places where many other street performers were struggling. Why? Because I discovered that thinking and doing things differently brought in surprisingly positive results. So surprising, that I was too embarrassed to tell anyone just how much money I was making as a busker. After a while I couldn’t hide my success and other performers started asking me to show them how they could get the same results.
Since then many buskers from near and far have asked me for busking advice and hounded me to put my knowledge and experience into a book. I did this, but soon realized that a website could reach more people, so I combined everything together, so I can share with you my personal tips and cutting edge tactics that have enabled me to perform all over the world, in some of the most beautiful places you will ever see.
What has emerged is a swag of valuable busking resources that will give you all the strategies you need to make your performance career (street and stage) a success, as well as a LIFESTYLE that everyone around you will quietly envy!

hi Johnny boy, I stumbled across your website last Sunday and in a word its brill. I have been a busker since 1986 but wanted to hear your stories and tips. They all, of course, make sense.
I am in fact registered as a blind person, but have some useful vision and have been taking to the streets with my keyboard as that is my main instrument, and has been since I have been a kid.
I think in all honesty you are somewhat of an amazing person the way you put things across, and feel certain you as a person will give new buskers a great deal of confidence.
I really liked that story about the London Underground on the train it was great. Had I been a beginner I would have found your website a great help so from that point of view. I have some funny stories and very moving experiences that I would love to share with you on the website.
