A Scot Busking In Sydney

What would life be like without busking?

The other day I was enjoying one of Johnnie Macs old busking haunts… Sydney’s central station tunnel.

Along comes a chap with a camera. Usually these guys take strange and personal pictures of you singing your heart out, but today was different. This guy approached me and said he was doing an interview for “Corker Magazine”… Admittedly, I hadn’t heard of it, but was surprised to find out that this guy was doing an article on – busking!

He asked me a few questions and I discovered he had met a few others street performers including the great “Ritchie”.

During this unexpected moment, what I realised that there IS a uniqueness and attraction to busking above other jobs or hobbies! When he asked me what I wanted to pass on, I found it hard to avoid the fact that busking is a way to live out your passions, your dreams and your adventures without having to put them aside for responsibility or to dampen the creative spirit in you. You can live your dream and live freely and prove the world’s theory wrong!

What a way of life!! It’s incredible.

So check out Corker magazine in Sydney! He was a great bloke and seemed genuinely interested in street performers. You just never know who you’ll meet…
